As a member you will join over network of membership of over 1200 regional and international scientists, over fifty academic and marine research insitutions working in patrnership with organizations like Sida/SAREC, NEPAD, UNEP, EU,USAID and IOC/UNESCO

And perhaps best of all, you as a member will have an ownership stake in WIOMSA, will have a say in what we do and as such help us shape our future in the region stretching from Somalia to South Africa and the Western Indian Ocean Island states of Madagascar, Mauritius, Reunion and the Comoros
