WIOMSA Corporate Membership, a sub category of the WIOMSA institutional membership, is open to any private sector organization, company or business. As a corporate member you can contribute to promote the educational, scientific and technological development of all aspects of marine scrience and the marine environment in the region.

WIOMSA Corporate Membership:

Corporate Membership to WIOMSA is offered in six categories:

Ambassador: Open to corporations who operate their business regionally in any of the member states of the Region and who wish to have an exclusive membership of Wiomsa for their Industry group in this category and are willing to commit to the corporate fee structure.

Friend: Open to corporations who operate their business regionally in one or more of the member states of the Region, who want to play a leadership role for their industry group and are willing to commit to the corporate fee structure.

Special Corporate: Open to corporations who operate their business regionally in more than one of the member states of the Region and are willing to commit to the corporate fee structure

Corporate: Open to corporations who operate their business only in any one of the member states of the Region, have more than 50 staff and are willing to commit to the corporate fee structure

Business: Open to corporations who operate their business only in any one of the member states of the Region, have between 25-50 staff and are willing to commit to the corporate fee structure

Small Business: Open to corporations who operate their business only in any one of the member states of the Region , who have less then 25 staff and are willing to meet the corporate fee structure

Corporate Membership in WIOMSA will be for a period of two years, renewable thereafter and fees are paid annually or bi-annually.

Corporate Membership shall be paid at the time of application for the first annual period

Corporate members may pay their annual dues in two 6 month installments

Corporate members may offset their membership dues against any paid services provided to Wiomsa. This shall be governed by the WIOMSA payments procedures

Corporate membership shall be further categorized according to the following major industry groups and regional operational presence

• Tourism/Hospitality:: Hotels, Tour Operators, Airlines, Tourism related businesses
• Financial: Banks, Financial Services, Co-operatives
• Logistics: Courier, Shipping, Freight Forwarding companies
• Telecom: Mobile phone companies
• Oil and Gas, Oil and Gas Exprolartions
• Marine Fisheries
• Insurance
• IT/ISP Services providers

Corporate Membership Fees Structure

Corporate DONATIONS and SPONSORSHIP

In addition to or seperate from WIOMSA Membership, Corporates may donate any funds or services to WIOMSA. These donations will be appreciated and acknowledged on our web-site and annual reports.
Corporates may also sponsor a specific WIOMSA events, workshops and publications

Corporate Membership Rules & Regulations

The following generic rights and obligations of WIOMSA members shall apply to corporate members, in addition to specific rights and obligations of Corporate Members as detailed below

Rights and Obligations of Members:
Each member of the Association shall have rights and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the General Assembly of the Association, including but not limited to the following:

1. Participate fully in the activities of the Association.
2. Avail him/herself of the facilities of the Association.
3. Undertake such obligations and duties as may be assigned by the General Assembly or Board of Trustees
4. Abide by the terms of this Constitution which shall be the basic guide for the operation of the Association.
5. Members of all categories shall enjoy the privileges of the Association.
6. All Members are entitled to vote (one person one vote).

1. A person shall cease to be a member of the Association upon his/her death.
2. A person shall cease to be a member upon his/her own decision, expressed in writing to the Executive Secretary to withdraw membership.
3. Any person who without any reasonable cause ceases to continue to participate in the activities of the Association or ceases to pay membership subscription fees shall cease to be a member.
4. A person shall cease to be a member of the Association because of misconduct detrimental to the Association.
5. The resignation of any Member shall be communicated to the Assembly as soon as is practicable.

Specific Corporate Rules & Regulations

WIOMSA Corporate Members will have the privilege of using the WIOMSA logo. The use of this logo shall be subject to the Rules and regulations pertaining to its use and WIOMSA pre-approval.

In any publications, advertisement or any media in the public domain that a WIOMSA corporate member generates, Wiomsa will not endorse or seem to endorse the member's products and services.
